Footprint Awards 2011 - Attendance Details
For the first time, the foodservice sector is recognising achievements in sustainability and environmental excellence across the supply chain at the Footprint Awards. Award winners will be announced from the shortlist of nominees at an extraordinary evening on 19th May at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and we hope you will be able to join us.
It’s a special evening because it’s the only one of its kind.
From the beautiful venue, to the fascinating menu designed by CH&Co Executive Chef David Cavalier, the menu ingredients, the staff uniforms, the table linen, crockery, fine wine and cocktails - all will tell a story of sustainability. The evening is about showing that being sensitive to your environment can also titillate the taste buds!
And to spice things up, this year’s theme is “upcycling”, which will feature some surprising creations from Fashion students that will open our eyes to how we can think differently about what we create and how we can reuse it.
The Footprint Awards are more than just industry recognition; there is a legacy too.
The Footprint Awards have started a student internship scheme – supported by sponsors – to create new research and to attract new talent into sustainability in the foodservice industry. That’s worth supporting when students are struggling to find work experience.
So come and join the Headline Sponsor, Nestlé Professional, and leaders in sustainability from the across the foodservice supply chain for an extraordinary celebration on 19th May.
The party begins with a drinks reception at 6.45pm at RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London, W1B 1AD, UK
Dress: Evening dress/Black Tie (or Lady Gaga-style meat dress if you must!)
Carriages: 11.30pm
